Palm / Passion Sunday (March 25):
Regular worship service at 10:30 AM
The first Palm Sunday was both a celebration and a planned protest against the Roman Empire. All are invited, therefore, to come to church with your favorite and most clever protest posters. Before services, we will have a table with supplies for making posters if you want to create an original.
Throughout the Week (March 25 - 31):
Come anytime during the week and walk a labyrinth modeled on the famous labyrinth of Chartres Cathedral that will be created on our courtyard lawn.
Maundy Thursday (March 29):
Service of Tennebrae (the shadows) at 6 PM in the sanctuary. This service will begin with a traditional foot-washing and a simple supper.
Good Friday (March 30):
Our courtyard labyrinth will be transformed into a “Stations of the Cross” walk, which you are invited to come and walk any time throughout the day.
• Good Friday service of prayers, hymns and scriptures will begin at 5:30 PM.
Holy Saturday (March 31):
Prayer vigil will begin at 7 PM and will continue through to Easter morning.
Members will be asked to choose an hour in which they will commit to being in prayer in their own homes (scripture readings will be provided to you as well) for each other and our wider community. Warning, some of you may have to set your alarms.
We welcome flowering plants, cut flowers and greenery for decorating the sanctuary. (April 1 – a perfect day for “Fools for Christ”):
Sunrise service will begin at 6:15 AM in our courtyard.
Special breakfast prepared by men of Crossroads will begin at 8:30 AM.
Easter Egg hunt will take place at 9 AM.
Worship service will begin with special prelude at *10:15 AM. *
