Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Peacemaker Award Service & Celebration

Church of the Crossroads invites the community to join in their annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Peacemaker Award Service on Monday, January 20, at 7:00 p.m., in the Sanctuary. This year, the Peacemaker Award will highlight the work of the Aluli Meyer sisters: Meleanna, Maile, and Manulani. These sisters have been known for decades in our community for their innovative thinking and doing in numerous areas of Hawaiian culture. Today, they continue to build on the foundation laid by their kupuna, guiding Kanaka 'ōiwi and hā'ole towards healing from Hawai'i's history, and restoring traditional practices, crafts and vocations.
 
 An offering will be received at the event and donated entirely to the Pu'uhonua Society.
 
 Following the service, all are invited to enjoy refreshments and fellowship in Weaver Hall.
