Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Peacemaker Award Service & Celebration (Reception to follow)

Please join us for our 38th annual celebration at 7:00PM.

We will be honoring Dr. Akiemi Glenn, founder and executive director of “The Popolo Project.”  Dr. Glenn is a linguist who works in Indigenous language revitalization; her community work in Hawaiʻi and the Pacific Islands region brings together language, art, environmental and social justice, and education.

She is also co-founder, with Deja Ostrowski, of the Hawaiʻi Strategy Lab.  The Lab seeks to help “folks think through the complex systems, interests, and opportunities facing Hawaiʻi in the COVID-19 crisis and beyond.” (Akiemi Glenn)
