The public is invited to attend the 2024 Watada Lectures at UH-Manoa (Friday) and Church of the Crossroads (Saturday). Our featured guest speaker is Dr. Kamanamaikalani Beamer, inaugural Dana Naone Hall Endowed Chair in Hawaiian Studies, Literature, & the Environment at Hawaiʻinuiākea School of Hawaiian Knowledge, and Director of Kamakakūokalani Center for Hawaiian Studies at the University of Hawaiʻi, Mānoa.

Friday’s session begins with food served at 5PM, followed by an enlightening talk from Kamana Beamer, offering an exclusive glimpse into his upcoming book. For complete details and registration, please click HERE.

Church of the Crossroads, a United Church of Christ Just Peace, Open and Affirming and Greening Congregation, holds the biennial Umematsu and Yasu Watada Lectures of Peace, Social Justice and the Environment with support from The Watada Lectures Fund, established by Kathy Watada Wurfel and her late husband David Wurfel.
