Environmental Justice
We believe that environmental justice is essential to preserving the beauty and longevity of our planet. We recognize that climate change is a real issue and that human activities are contributing to it.
We have a committee that writes and advances environmental legislative resolutions, and we support organizations and initiatives that help our community live healthier and more sustainable lives.
We’ve planted raised garden beds and ʻulu (breadfuit) trees with our youth, and host monthly HI-5 recycling days. Our church is built with glass louvers and wide roofs for natural cooling, and our PV panels convert sunlight into electricity.
We recognize that this is an ongoing journey and need your help! For more information or to get involved with gardening, outdoor education, environmental activism and more, please contact our Peace, Justice & Stewardship of Creation (PJSC) Mission Team.
